We are back with the latest edition of Can Release Daily. Every day, around the world, small breweries are offering some of the freshest, most innovative beers right out of their tasting rooms. With so many breweries releasing so many brightly labeled beers, it’s hard to keep track of it all. Because we love centralized info, we decided to bring you the latest releases in this post. Temescal Hazy comes out today at 4pm! After months of planning, we are so, so excited to share this beer with you ????⠀ ⠀ Today’s a perfect day to answer a question we get constantly: what makes an IPA hazy?? ????⠀ ⠀ These beers get hazy in part because we use yeast strains that tend to stick around, because we add lots and lots of hops, and because we don’t filter the beer.⠀ ⠀ But the haze really starts with the grain. For Temescal Hazy, we use 20% flaked oats and 20% malted white wheat. The proteins in these grains create a full, pillowy texture in the beer. We also find that the grainy acidity you get from wheat brings the beer’s ‘juice factor’ up just a touch. And the oats contribute an oily, full sweetness that plays really well with the beer’s hop character.⠀ ⠀ The by-product of all this amazing texture and flavor? A deep, cloudy haze ????

We are so excited to finally be releasing our second core can, Slo Flo Pils in 12oz 6-packs next Wednesday. Slo Flo is inspired by the Czech style pilsners we love overseas but have a difficult time getting back home. The beer is light, creamy but full of flavor and meant to be enjoyed (and poured) slowly. We’re both known to make some pretty funky beers so we didn’t want to just make it any boring golden stout.
