Call Cigar City Butter Cuz They’re On a Roll
Complimentary to BeerNews.org’s label showcase eariler today, we found some more Cigar City Brewing Labels (At the bottom) and got some cool news.
Cigar City best send their beers more places..cough cough out west cough cough. Cheers, TFP
We are working on a collaboration with Mikkeller. Right now we are finalizing the recipes and once that is done we’ll plan a date for the brew to take place. The Grassroots/CCB collaboration brews (there will be two both brewed at our brewery and bottled in 12 oz) will take place Sept 9th and 10th.
Wayne is letting some of our other brewers try their hand at full batch beers and the first beer in that program is Tocobaga Ale brewed by Tim Ogden. It’s 7.5% hoppy amber ale. Our other brewer Doug Dozark will be brewing an as yet unnamed American Wheat for his full batch brew. We also hired another brewer named Justin Stange formerly of Sweetwater, bringing our staff up to 4 brewers.
And we have Sea Bass Farmhouse-Style Ale (dark saison) fermenting right now in the open fermentation tank. We also prepped a few more kegs of Marshal Zhukov’s Final Push (which will be on tap at GABF) which is a coffee-aged Imperial Stout.
Ohh and Capricho Oscuro Batch #4 should be ready in 12 oz bottles in about 6 weeks. CO is all from one 55 gallon barrel so like past batches it will be a roughly 400-450 bottle release, depending on what the barrel yields us.
