The Bruery – Details on Sucré and Tripel Tonnellerie
(Placentia,CA) – The Bruery has two new beers (well sorta) this month, Sucré and Tripel Tonnellerie. Here are some brief descriptions and their snappy labels. Cheers!
Sucré – 16.5% abv.- This beer will see national distribution
Sucré is our sixth anniversary ale, loosely brewed in the English-style Old Ale tradition using our house Belgian yeast strain and then blended using the solera method.
A portion of each of our anniversary ales is saved in our barrels and blended in with the next year’s production, providing more complexity and depth of character that comes with age. Layered with complex flavors of dark fruit, vanilla, oak, and burnt sugar, Sucré is a robust ale, surely the perfect beer to mark this major milestone.
Tripel Tonnellerie 9.5% abv – This beer will see limited local distribution
Tripel Tonnellerie is a 100% barrel fermented version of a Belgian Abbey Tripel. The base beer carries a classically clean maltiness, balanced by a fruity aroma and a dry, spicy mouthfeel. Extended fermentation in oak barrels inoculated with wild yeast allowed the beer to develop the rustic, earthy tones of a classic countryside biere de garde resulting in a uniquely flavorful beer, suitable for beer and wine lovers alike.
