Boulevard Brewing’s “10% For KC” Program Posts Second Quarter Results
Kansas City, MO – Boulevard Brewing Company today announced that its “10% for KC” program will again provide significant funding to three Kansas City non-profit organizations. Though final figures won’t be available until next week, a dollar amount representing 10% of Boulevard’s second quarter revenue from local sales of KC Pils will be donated to the charitable groups. Online voting determines the allocation among the participants; with 52% of the popular vote, Midwest Foster Care and Adoption Association is entitled to 60% of the total pool. Cultivate Kansas City and Truman Library Institute will each receive 20% of the total contribution.
“We were in awe of the hard work, energy and dedication our partnering organizations gave to 10% for KC this past quarter,” said Julie Weeks, Boulevard’s marketing communications manager. “The program is now a year old, and it has been exciting to provide exposure and financial assistance to 12 worthy charities. We look forward to future KC Pils sales continuing to help additional groups in the future.”
Three different groups have been named as beneficiaries of KC Pils sales during the third quarter of 2014: Friends of KC Animals, Sleepyhead Beds and The American Stroke Foundation. At the end of the period, the public will again be invited to vote for their favorite, with the winner to receive the majority of available funds. Consumers are invited to visit boulevard.com/weloveKC to nominate area charities for future consideration.
