Boulder Beer's cold weather brews return for the season
Boulder Beer Company will release their limited-edition Obovoid Oak-Aged Oatmeal Stout and seasonal Never Summer Ale in mid-October.
What in the world is an obovoid?
Obovoid: 1. An ovoid with the broad end toward the apex. 2. A fun word!
Something tells us that you’re going to love Obovoid Oak-Aged Oatmeal Stout. Perhaps it’s the color – as dark as deep space. Or the aging on oak that adds an earthy character to its roasted notes.
Maybe you crave the bittersweet chocolate finish derived from the abundance of black and chocolate malts. Or quite possibly the rich, smooth mouthfeel and creamy, off-white color head tickle your fancy. But most likely, it’s the perfect blend of “all of the above” that makes Obovoid a stout lover’s dream.
Obovoid Oak-Aged Oatmeal Stout is a small batch, limited-edition beer and the 8th Release in Boulder Beer’s Looking Glass Series of specialty beers. It taps at the brewery on October 17th and will be available in single 22 oz. bottles and 15.5 gallon kegs while supplies last.
Boulder Beer’s Looking Glass Series also includes the return winter seasonal favorite, Never Summer Ale. Deep ruby red in color, assertively hopped and brewed with dark caramel malt, Never Summer Ale makes even the coldest Colorado peaks seem warm.
Never Summer Ale taps at the brewery on October 16th and will be widely available in 6-packs, 22 oz. bottles and 15.5 gallon kegs through March.
A repeat medal winner, Never Summer Ale garnered a Gold in the Strong Ale Category at the World Beer Cup in 2004 and a Silver in 2006.
Boulder Beer brands are distributed throughout Colorado and in select markets in 28 other states.
