Big Wins For Browns Brewing Company
Brown’s Brewing Company wins two recent Brewery awards both with both regional and international recognition.
The Matthew Vassar Cup was awarded to Brown’s Brewing Company in April recognizing Brown’s Brewing as “The Best Craft Beer Brewery in the Hudson Valley.” TAP NY is New York’s State premier brewers festival and competition held annually at Hunter Mountain in the Catskills.
Internationally Brown’s Brewing Company was awarded a Silver Medal at “The World Beer Cup 2008 Festival” sponsored by the American Brewer’s Association in San Diego, California. Brown’s Whiskey Porter won in the “Wood –and Barrel-aged Beer Category.”
Brown’s head brewer, Peter Martin says of the awards, “It is quite an honor to receive these recognitions and I am very proud of all the beer brands that are produced at Brown’s Brewing Company.”
Brown’s Whiskey Porter will join Brown’s Oatmeal Stout in the World Beer Cup “Hall of Fame “– Brown’s Oatmeal Stout was awarded a Gold Medal in the 2004 World Beer Cup competition.
Brown’s Brewing Company hand crafts over a dozen distinctive varieties of Ales & Lagers on draft at it’s River Street, Troy location. Brown’s Pale Ale, Oatmeal Stout and India Pale Ale are now available in 12oz. bottles at beverage centers and specialty stores throughout the Capital Region.
