Ballast Point Sculpin IPA Kegs Available for Super Bowl Weekend

You may have noticed the proliferation of Sculpin tap handles and six packs popping up around town lately. For far too long we have been unable to even come close to filling the demand for this tasty IPA. Well, we are getting closer. Close enough that we couldn’t live with ourselves keeping it off limits to our loyal San Diego beer drinkers for another “holiday.”

Starting Friday 2/3/12, Sculpin 5 gallon kegs will be available for purchase at both of our brewery locations for $99 + keg deposit. Truthfully, we aren’t exactly sure how this is going to work out. We do have a finite number of kegs for the weekend, but it is a pretty high number. We may run out, we may not. In any case, it will be one per customer (please be honest San Diego), first come, first served.

Hopefully we can make this a regular occurrence. We will alert the people via Facebook if we do happen to run out. Or you can call first. It should be an awesome sunny weekend and the game’s matchup is intriguing, even if most of the town hopes both teams lose. One thing is for sure, there will be great beer at lots of people’s parties.

Oh, and lets not forget tomorrow is Thursday! Our pals at the Thai One On food truck will be at our Scripps Ranch taster bar starting at 4pm serving up tasty fare including a Panang Curry made with our Indra Kunindra Curry Export Stout. To compliment, we will be pouring a Thai chili / lime / ginger spiced version of our Wahoo Wheat Beer as well as Indra Kunindra and another spicy treat. Should be an awesome time for your taste buds.
