Avery The Reverend Belgian Quadrupel Ale – A Decade of Decadence: Ten Year Vertical and Beer Dinner
Avery Brewing Company is holding a ten year vertical tasting of The Reverend Belgian Quadrupel Ale along side a beer pairing dinner.
We’re inviting all of our closest friends, pulling out all the stops and delving deep into our cellar and barrel-aged stashes to put on the BEER DINNER OF THE DECADE! A milestone in the annals of Avery Brewing Company will go down on Friday, November 20th 2009 in celebration of brewing The Reverend Belgian Quad–that sinfully smooth and irreverently spicy brew you all know so well–for ten years! Yes, we’ve been brewing this beer since the time when “big beer” only meant schwill in a 60 ounce glass.
Time to celebrate this occasion, Avery style. Here’s the scoop:
We’ve invited Chris Blackwood, who is an Executive Chef with the West End Tavern, to create a Belgian-inspired five-course meal, which will be served alongside a ten-year vertical tasting of The Reverend at the Avery Tap Room. Adam Avery and other staff will be on hand to present the vertical and introduce the numerous other specialty beers we’ve reserved for this occasion. We’re not divulging what these specialty beers will be, but know that we’ll be breaking out some very rare stuff on top of the ten years of Reverend coming from our cellar.
The dinner will take place in the Avery Barrel-Aging Room, with the first course to be served at 7PM. Advance ticket sales only. Tickets are $60 each and are available for purchase at The Avery Tap Room or online at the Avery webstore.
Established in 1993, Avery Brewing Company has developed a reputation as being one of the most daring and forward-looking breweries in the nation. They are the brewers of Avery IPA, The Maharaja Imperial IPA, White Rascal Belgian Wheat Ale, Mephistopheles’ Stout and eighteen other year-round and seasonal beers.
