805 Blonde Ale Will Hit Shelves in AZ, NV and TX This Year
(Paso Robles, CA) – Inspired by bootleggers and driven by demand, 805 is set to break out of California for the first time as the beer will be distributed in Arizona, Nevada and Texas starting in early 2016.
805 was originally brewed to serve the tri-county area of California’s Central Coast. In just three years, however, it has grown to become a top 25 national craft beer brand—despite the fact that it is still only distributed in California.
Now 805 is set to cross state lines for the first time, at least officially.
“When 805 was available only on the Central Coast, people bootlegged it down to Los Angeles,” said David Walker, co-proprietor of 805. “Now that we’re in Los Angeles, people are bootlegging it to Nevada and Arizona. The beer is telling us where it wants to go.”
Added co-proprietor Adam Firestone, “The beer is driving its own eastward expansion, but now we can make sure that it is properly transported, chilled and accessible.”
805 is a refreshing blonde ale made by Firestone Walker Brewing Company. Subtle malt sweetness is balanced by a touch of hops, creating a versatile beer with a clean finish. The beer embodies a California mindset that can be lived anywhere.
Following is a breakdown of states, metro areas and distributors for 805’s new markets starting in January:
ARIZONA
Phoenix – Hensley Distributing
Tucson – Finley Distributing
NEVADA
Las Vegas and Reno – Southern Wine & Spirits
TEXAS
Austin – Brown Distributing
Dallas/Fort Worth/Corpus Christi – Andrews Distributing
