Thanks for keeping these going, Danny. And always good to hear from our President, Golfcart Andy. The whole booze business is in a shakeup and having a tremendous tough time. I don’t know if you heard tangentially related to beer, but RNDC is exiting the California market entirely. They formerly held the Merchant du Vin beer portfolio. In fact, a lot of booze brands went to Allied (Reyes), who up until just a few years ago, only distributed beer. Now they are I think the largest booze distributor for So Cal. Wacky times.
Love to get a LA market vibe check, out here in Portland words like allocated or bottle limits just don’t exist any more on the store shelves. Bars and breweries are holding up, but I worry much of that is outward facing and there is internal turmoil abound as brands are on last legs hoping for a miracle but are facing a challenging economic time, constantly being marked by “recession indicators”.
Hey, maybe this’ll get people back into homebrew a la it’s peak in the 2010’s as a reaction to the recession.
