OUR NEWEST PACKAGE: Troegenator 22 Ounce Bottles
We are happy to announce our newest year-round package22 ounce Troegenator bottles. All our wholesalers have received their first shipment so these big bottles will be hitting the streets in the next two weeks.
As soon as we expanded into New York, it became apparent that the 22 ounce bottle would be a necessity, said Chris Trogner. While we might not sell a lot in Pennsylvania because of the case law, our outside markets cant wait to get their hands on dinner bottles. We are excited about new package.
While selling 22-ounce bottles might not take a lot of work, filling them takes a bit of time. We are using the same filler for 12 and 22-ounce bottles, so we have to switch out parts to be able to fill both sizes, explains John Trogner. It takes about 90 minutes to install a new twist-rinser, fill tubes, and label equipment on the filler, and we have to do that twice a month to keep up with orders.
For the time being, the Tröegs brothers are mum on additional 22-ounce packages, but look for upcoming announcements in future Tröegs Tales.

A Rite of Spring: 2-250 Barrel Tanks Arrive at the Brewery
In what now seems like an annual tradition, two new fermentation tanks arrived at the brewery last week. The mammoth 250-barrel tanks should be in working order in the next eight weeks.
These tanks are not regular fermentation tanks, they are aging tanks, explains John Trogner. They will allow us to empty three fermenters into an aging tank and refill the fermenters to increase capacity. The tanks will be key for all our seasonal beers as well as Hopback and Troegenator as those brands continue to grow.
