Terrapin Beer Co. Seventh Anniversary Celebration April 11th

Terrapin will celebrate its seventh anniversary with a party at the brewery in Athens on the 11th of April. The festivities will include live music, a cask ale tent and a collection of special beers on tap. “We’re inviting everyone who’s helped to make Terrapin what it is today and that includes the people of Athens!” said Buckowski. “Good beer and good people…that’s always been the secret to success.”
Terrapin has always hinged its growth on the quality of the award winning beers and the perseverance of Cochran and Buckowski. A series of awards, including The Gold Medal at the Great American Beer festival in 2002 for the Rye Pale Ale, propelled the company forward and created a demand the two have yet to fully meet. “It was a tough road at first. We had contract breweries, hop shortages, more license applications than I care to remember, but the pay off has been worth it” said Cochran. The then homeless brand now resides in a 45,000 square foot brewery in Terrapin’s chosen home of Athens, GA. “The people of Athens have been so supportive. They’ve really welcomed us with open arms.”
Tours of the Terrapin Brewery are offered every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night from 5:30 – 7:30 with live music and tastings at 265 Newton Bridge Road in Athens, GA. The tours are an excellent opportunity to taste Terrapin’s full line of award winning beers and see the brewing process first hand. For more information visit the web site www.terrapinbeer.com
