Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens Events for June 2013
(ESCONDIDO, Calif.) – The following are events to be held during the month of June at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens – Escondido (1999 Citracado Parkway, Escondido).
Meet the Brewer & Beer Release with Almanac Beer Co. – Tuesday, June 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the outside bar
Meet Almanac Beer Co. Co-founder & Brewer Jesse Friedman and try two newly released beers from their Farmer’s Reserve series. Beer list will include: Honey Saison, Extra Pale Ale, Biere de Chocolat, Single Origin Chinook IPA, Farmer’s Reserve No. 3 (with strawberries and nectarines) and Farmer’s Reserve No. 4 (with Meyer lemons, Cara Cara oranges and Buddha’s hand citron). Bottles available at the event will include Barrel Noir and Farmer’s Reserve No. 1.
2013 Stone Movie Nights – Wednesdays beginning at 8:30 p.m. in the gardens
Every Wednesday night throughout the summer, movies will be shown on a 12-foot screen in the gardens. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to claim their spot. All movies are 21 and over with valid ID, regardless of rating. Family night movies will be shown the last Wednesday of each month, and children will be admitted with a parent or guardian. Wristbands are required to attend, and are distributed at Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Escondido beginning at 3 p.m. on the day of each film screening—first come, first served. Shows always fill up, so it is suggested guests arrive early to save a spot. Since parking is limited, carpooling is also strongly encouraged. Outside food or drinks are not allowed. Beer, soda and snacks will be available to purchase during the movie. This month’s movie schedule is as follows:

“Bringing it Home” Film Premiere – Sunday, June 9 at 7 p.m. in the gardens
In honor of Hemp History Week, Stone will premiere the documentary Bringing it Home, which examines the benefits of industrial hemp and the issues behind farming it in the United States. A specially brewed beer and pretzels made with hemp seeds will be available for purchase. The movie’s producer and director, Linda Booker, Stone CEO & Co-founder Greg Koch, and David Bronner, president of Dr. Bronner’s Magic Soaps, will introduce the film. There is no admission fee and reservations are not necessary to attend. Guests are asked to bring their own lawn chairs.
Hoppy Father’s Day! – Sunday, June 16 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Families are invited to celebrate dads with a plethora of IPAs and BBQ. An al a carte brunch menu as well as a BBQ brisket station, including sides of hash, biscuits and grilled corn will be available for $18. Several IPAs will be available on draft and in bottles. Fresh Taps – Tuesday, June 18, fresh kegged beers poured beginning at 11 a.m. and fresh fermenter pours from 6 to 7 p.m.
Taste the difference between beer and fresh beer by tasting ale that was kegged the same morning as the day it’s served, or try one of our beers straight from the fermenter. Guests must purchase a token at the bar that day to receive fresh pours directly from the fermenter. Fermenter pours will only be available between 6 and 7 p.m.
Fresh Dinner with Beer Pairings – Tuesday, June 18 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the mezzanine
Join Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens – Escondido Executive Chef & General Manager Alex Carballo as he celebrates the farm-to-table movement with a dinner featuring ingredients harvested from local farms (including Stone Farms) that morning. The dinner will include multiple courses with beer pairings and one glass of beer poured directly from the fermenter. Sour Fest – Sunday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the gardens
Stone Craft Beer Ambassador “Dr.” Bill Sysak has gathered the rarest and best sour beers in the world for this anticipated annual festival. Festival participants will receive a commemorative glass and 15 three-ounce tasters; choices will include more than 100 sour ales on draft and in bottles. Tickets to the event are sold out.
Beer U: Double IPAs – Monday, June 24 from 7 to 9 p.m. in mezzanine
Join Stone’s Craft Beer Ambassador “Dr.” Bill Sysak as he explains exactly what Double IPAs are and why they’ve become Southern California’s trademark beer style. Guests will try examples of brilliantly hoppy beers while engaging in educational conversation. Sunday Brunch – Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Guests may indulge in brunch dishes such as Brioche French Toast & Fried Chicken, Chilaquiles Eggs Benedict, Squash Cakes, Duck Confit Hash or Stuffed Poblano Peppers in addition to regular lunch menu items. Handpump Tuesday – Tuesdays beginning at 11 a.m. at the inside bar
Each Tuesday, the inside bar features a cask from one of the brewing industry’s esteemed craft breweries, and bartenders serve the beer to guests the old-fashioned way—using a hand-pumped beer engine.
Stone Brewer’s Cask – Thursdays at 4 p.m. at the outside bar
A different Stone year-round release is enhanced when delicious, carefully thought-out ingredients are added to a cask and served each Thursday by the brewer who made it. Stop by to enjoy a one-of-a-kind beer and chat with the brewer about his or her creation. Brewers and beers vary each week and are subject to change.
