Oktoberfest Done So Cal Style
On Saturday, October 4, Karl Strauss Brewing Company will be hosting Karlfest to raise money and awareness for the Surfrider Foundation in Orange County. Karlfest is our take on Oktoberfest done SoCal style—live music, local craft beer, and good food. The event will take place outdoors in front of the Karl Strauss Costa Mesa Brewery Restaurant located at 901A South Coast Drive.
The afternoon will feature three live bands, 20+ beers on tap – including Oktoberfest and an Imperial Amber Lager brewed in Karl’s honor – specialty casks and cheese pairings, and four guest breweries (Backstreet Brewing Company, The Bruery, Pizza Port San Clemente, and Tustin Brewing Company).
Karl Strauss strongly believes in caring for our community and our environment. The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit environmental organization we believe in that is dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education. Karl Strauss has partnered with the Surfrider Foundation for 5 years now, contributing over $55,000 to their cause. Our partnership has grown to include event collaborations that incorporate specific causes important to Surfrider—like diverting 50% of our trash to recycling, organic t-shirts, and teaming up for beach clean-ups. We look forward to extending our Surfrider relationship up the coast with two Orange County chapters—Surfrider Foundation Newport Beach and South Orange County.
Karlfest is Saturday, October 4 from 12-4pm. Tickets are $15 pre-sale and $20 at the door. Entry includes a commemorative taster glass with 5 free beer samples. Buy tix and get additional information at www.KarlStrauss.com.
