Maui Craft Session… Crate, Cask, & Barrel – Friday, May 10, 6-10pm
Join Maui Brewing Company as we kick off the Craft Beer Week on the Ocean Lawn at the Sheraton Maui in Kaanapali. This inaugural event will combine “Crate, Cask and Barrel” as Maui Brews are paired with cuisine from the Sheraton’s storied chefs, whiskies around the world from Southern Distributing and an assortment of hand-rolled cigars from General Cigar Company.
Maui Craft Session is a celebration of the craft industries of beer, whisky, and cigar. This inaugural event will take place on Sheraton Maui’s Ocean Lawn, with legendary Pu’u Keka’a as the backdrop. The evening will highlight industries rooted in small batch production with handmade products, sourced from the finest ingredients, utilizing time honored methods. Thoughtful pairings created through the collaboration of industry leaders, aficionados, and fans will be offered, elevating and complimenting each craft.

Artisanal Beer Dinner At 12th Avenue Grill – Tuesday, May 14th 6:30pm
Our friends at 12th Avenue Grill in Honolulu have graciously included us in another Beer Dinner. 12th Ave. always delivers when it comes to fresh, local cuisine as evidenced by their recent Hale Aina Award. Reserve your place and view the mouth-watering menu is available for your perusal here..
Join us for an evening of unique, rare American Craft Beers, including Hawaii’s own award-winning Maui Brewing Company. A couple of draft beers from Maui, usually served only at their brewpub on the Valley Isle comes to us for this special event. Seasonal, artisanal beers are paired with Chef J. Schoonover’s walk-on-the-wild-side four course menu, including Big Island Wild Boar served two ways and Molokai Venison. This event falls during American Craft Beer Week, a celebration of the grass roots movement of hand-crafted brews.

Off Flavor Training Course At Kahana Grill – May 17, 1:00 PM
Join Master Cicerone Nicole Erny in this sensory training for common beer off-flavors with tasting and lecture. The tasting is geared towards the off-flavors tested on the Certified Cicerone exam, but is open to anyone 21+ who is interested. Off-flavors presented will be LightStruck, DMS, Diacetyl, Trans-2-Nonenal, Infection, and Acetaldehyde.

Maui Brew Fest Beer Dinner At Maui Arts & Cultural Center – May 17, 6-9 PM
A Fundraiser for Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s Programs to kick-off the 5th Annual Maui Brewers Festival This beer education celebration will feature cuisine of the New Americas by Cactus Bistro Chef-Owner John Memering of Kailua. Each of the five creative courses will be paired with specialty craft beers by Maui Brewing Co. of Lahaina. Chef Memering and Garrett Marrero, owner of Maui Brewing Co, will introduce the courses and explain the pairings. Learn from these masters how well handcrafted beer goes with fine dining. Maui Brewers Festival 2013 – Saturday, May 18, 2:30 PM til 7:00 PM
Maui Brew Fest showcases the best craft beers made in Hawai‘i and beyond. Join hosts Maui Arts & Cultural Center, Maui Brewing Company and Paradise Beverages for a leisurely day of tasting beers from over 30 craft breweries, sampling appetizers from over 20 of Maui’s popular restaurants and food trucks, and live music by Nuff Sedd, Lia Live! and Simply Twisted. Prizes will be given away, too. Paid general admission includes eight 4 oz. samples of beer in a commemorative glass, island-style dishes and parking (from 4 to 7 pm). VIP package includes general admission, early entry at 2:30 pm for Rare Beer Tasting with brewmasters and brewery representatives in the pavilion, a reserved parking space and logo shirt.
