Maryland to Host Bourbon, Beer & Beef Festival
First Annual Festival to Help Raise Money for Returning Veterans
Baltimore, MD – Moorea Marketing announced today that it will produce a fundraiser for Operation Homefront; the first annual Bourbon, Beer, & Beef Festival at Arundel Mills in Hanover, Maryland on Saturday, October 18, 2008. VIP admission runs from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., followed by general admission beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Attendees will be sipping the finest bourbons including Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Knob Creek, Booker’s Baker’s and Basil Hayden, as well as tasting the best beers, and eating the best barbeque from around the area. Over forty different bourbons and sixty craft beers will be on hand for sampling.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Operation Homefront, an organization dedicated to providing emergency assistance and morale to our troops, to the families they leave behind and to wounded warriors when they return home.
“We are proud to help raise money for Operation Homefront and all of their important initiatives with returning veterans,” stated Greg Nivens, President of Moorea Marketing, the show’s producer. “Jim Beam really supported this show as a great sponsor. Corporately, Jim Beam has supported the efforts of Operation Homefront through their Stuff Inside Campaign (www.thestuffinside.com) and this event seemed to be a natural extension of that. We produce various alcohol related events in the Mid-Atlantic and this event will be a larger and broader in scope than anything we’ve produced before. It is truly a National event taking place in our own backyard.”
While enjoying the Bourbon, Beer & Beef Festival, guests can delight in great live music and also very informative seminars. The diverse sounds of local bands Freddie Long Band and the Kelly Bell Band will be performing live on the Main Stage. In the Tasting Theater, guests can test their knowledge and improve their palate. Classes involving Bourbon, Beer, Tequila, and even fine Cognacs will be part of the day’s agenda.
Admission to the festival is $35.00 in advance or $40.00 on-site and includes admission into the event, a souvenir glass, Tasting Theater seminars and unlimited samples from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. VIP Admission is $50.00 (available in advance only) and includes a souvenir t-shirt, gift bag and two extra hours at the event.
