Maibock Festival at Rubicon Brewing Company
Rubicon Brewing Company Hosts Their Third Annual Maibock Festival
Sacramento, Ca – On Saturday, May 31st, and Sunday, June 1st 2008, Rubicon Brewing Company, located at 2004 Capitol Avenue in Midtown, Sacramento, will be hosting their third annual Maibock Festival.
The festival starts at 8:30 each day, and goes on until closing. An authentic German-style sausage platter special will be offered for lunch and dinner. This year’s tap line-up will have 10 bock beers including Rubicon’s Purple maibock, Elk Grove Brewery’s bock, Sudwerk’s maibock, Sacramento Brewing Company’s maibock, and Hofbräu’s maibock from Munich, Germany.
Bocks are strong, malty lager beers originating from Einbeck, Germany. They are traditionally drunk in the spring to celebrate the season. Maibocks are customarily served in connection with spring festivals and celebrations in the month of May (Mai).
In addition to the Maibock Festival, Rubicon Brewing Company hosts two other annual festivals: Hoptoberfest, in October; and Women in Brewing in early May. These festivals give patrons the unique opportunity to experience many different beers from numerous breweries all under one roof.
The Rubicon Brewing Company is a favorite Midtown Sacramento institution. For over 20 years the Rubicon has provided handcrafted beers and great food, served in a casual, friendly atmosphere.
