One of Los Angeles County’s brewing pioneers celebrates their 6th Anniversary this week. Congratulations to Cyrena, Dave, and the whole Ladyface Ale Companie team! Check out their press release below:
AGOURA HILLS, CA – The Conejo Valley’s first brewery, Ladyface Ale Companie, will be celebrating its sixth year in business serving great food and artisanal craft beer made at its location on Agoura Road. During the week of January 18-24, 2016, the brewery and gastropub will be hosting events, including commemorative glassware and Anniversary Ale releases. “This year’s anniversary ale, named ‘The Iron Lady’, refers to the theme of iron as the traditional sixth anniversary gift, a symbol of strength and endurance against the erosion of time,” said Cyrena Nouzille, Proprietor of Ladyface.
Brewmaster David Griffiths described this year’s special release by saying, “The 2016 Anniversary ale is brewed in a classic Belgian Golden Strong style with slightly hazy, pale golden hues, and its aroma and flavor are dominated by a spicy yeast character. Viognier grape must and a high-alcohol level imparts a white wine-like dryness.” The ale will be on tap at the pub for several weeks to come, and available in growlers and 500 ml bottle formats as well.
The Brewmaster’s Dinner is featured highlight on Wednesday, January 20 featuring guest Chef Daniel Mattern. Five delicious courses will be paired with Ladyface ales, including some cellar surprises.
On
Sunday, January 24, tickets are still available for a boutique invitational beer festival and grand finale party at Ladyface overlooking Ladyface Mountain with live music by Whiskey
Sunday, an American Folk Rock band from Los Angeles. This year, Ladyface also conspired with
Eagle Rock Brewery and
Strand Brewing Co. to celebrate six years of Los Angeles County’s craft brewing revival, with all three breweries having been established in Autumn 2009. Eagle Rock’s “Zes” will be on tap in addition to numerous other unique, hard-to-find and barrel-aged beers from other great craft breweries such as Firestone Walker, Lost Abbey, Smog City, Sante Adairius, El Segundo & Libertine.
This last October, Ladyface Ale Companie was honored by Mayor Illece Buckley Weber as Agoura Hills’ 2015 Business of the Year. In 2014, California Senator Fran Pavely awarded Ladyface as the California 27th District’s Small Business of the Year.
