Happy New Year from Bristol Brewing
Happy New Year!
We here at Bristol hope the holidays treated you well. We feel certain, knowing you as we do, that you were very, very nice all year and thus got everything you wanted (or deserved). So now maybe you’re ready to hunker down with the last of your Old #23 Barley Wine and go to bed early.
If you’re like us, however, the relative quiet of the last week has left you missing some good old revelry and good cheer. We do, so we just couldn’t resist putting together a couple of little get-togethers for “auld lang syne”.
First, we’ll be ringing in the new year with a brand new addition to our Edge City series. The brewers have gifted us with a Dunkel Weissbier, a slightly sweet, light brown ale made from Bavarian dark malted wheat and barley. Fruity esters enliven the nose thanks to a special hefe yeast, and a blend of traditional German hops gives it a clean, crisp finish. It was delicious when we tasted it a few days ago, and that was even before they crashed it, so we’re certain it’s even tastier now. (What? You don’t know what “crashed it” means? Sign up for Beer School!) But don’t take our word for it, come taste it yourself at our release party this Friday, January 9th at 5:00 pm. Complimentary snacks will be provided by Blue Sage Catering.
Next, we’ll be hosting kick off parties for our very exciting Bristolicious Mini Tour at all Colorado Springs and Greeley Old Chicago Restaurants. You’ll get a chance to taste 8 of our great tasting beers at your neighborhood Old Chicagos. Try all 8 and your victory will be rewarded with an exclusive Bristol/Old Chicago T-shirt! Meet your favorite brewery folks at your favorite Old Chicago on Wednesday, January 14th at 7:00 pm for fun, pints and a chance to get free brewery swag. See you there!
Cheers,
Laura
