Deschutes Brewery at the International Beer Expo

The Oregon brewery will be joining more than 75 of its international brewing brethren and pouring Chainbreaker White IPA and Twilight Summer Ale for the masses. All this while raising money for the Committee to Benefit The Children, a local charity that provides resources for the treatment and care of children with cancer, leukemia and serious blood disorders.

Class of ’88 Reunion Tap Takeover (with Deschutes & Brooklyn Breweries)
It’s an ’80s Costume Party featuring two breweries originating from this era of parachute pants, Aquanet hairspray and jelly bracelets: Deschutes Brewery and Brooklyn Brewery. Great fashion sense wasn’t the only totally radical thing born in this decade of excess. Speaking of excess, several hard-to-find beers will be on tap and Deschutes Brewery’s corporate executive chef, Jeff Usinowicz, will be collaborating with City Tap House to cook up some throwback food specials. And don’t forget to wear your dancing shoes because 12:01 Social will playing your favorite ’80s hits all night long.

Location: City Tap House, 39th and Walnut Streets, Philadelphia, PA 19104

Best of all? Proceeds from the evening will benefit the St. James School.

Great Chefs Event
For all those who wish Philly Beer Week went on forever…Deschutes Brewery is staying a few extra days to celebrate at the Great Chefs Event. A brewery that puts just as much care and creativity into the fare it serves at its Oregon pubs as it puts in its beer wouldn’t miss this chance to hang out with nearly 50 top-flight chefs and mixologists displaying their passion for fine food. A benefit for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Charity to help fight childhood cancer, Deschutes Brewery will be pouring its Black Butte Porter and wildly popular Fresh Squeezed IPA.
When: Tuesday, June 10, 6-9 pm
Location: Philadelphia Navy Yard, 4747 S Broad St #120, Philadelphia, PA 19112
