Brew at the Zoo
Presented by SweetWater Brewing Company
Memorial Day weekend approaching already? You’ve got two choices:
1. Take off in a heated rush, brace yourself for travel expenses and soaring gas prices, and spend most of your weekend in the car on the way to an overcrowded vacation spot.
… OR …
2. Kick back with something cold, enjoy music by live bands, and get re-acquainted with your hometown Zoo.
Choose number 2 and join us at the first-annual
Brew at the Zoo
Saturday, May 24 from
3 p.m. to 8 p.m.!
Brew Program
3:00 p.m.
Check in at the main Brew table at the front gate as the event starts. Get your tasting mug and then get re-acquainted with Zoo Atlanta. Stop at the Ford Pavilion first where there will be two large brew stations. Grab a SweetWater original and then stroll the grounds to see all that the Zoo has to offer while sipping a brew! Ahh. Enjoy signature microbrews including Road Trip, SweetWater’s special summer seasonal. (See? You can take a road trip.) You can also try other award-winning West Coast-style creations from Atlanta’s own SweetWater Brewery, at two additional carts at locations throughout the Zoo. Samples are unlimited.
(Note: Brew table check-in ends at 7:00 p.m.. Last call for beer is 7:40 p.m.)
5:30 p.m.
The Zoo gates close at 5:30 p.m. to our daily guests, but you’re in until 8 … in a Zoo of a different flavor.
• You will be able to say goodnight to your animal buddies by attending special viewings as some of our animals will be staying up a bit late just for you. See the gorillas receive a bedtime snack; say good-night to Mei Lan; get up-close-and-personal with some of our cool critters during special animal encounters; watch and see if the meerkats poke their heads out to see what’s going on; hear one of our elephant experts present the latest news about our elephants ladies; travel to the secret world of the naked mole rats to see what they do after hours; watch the kangaroos hop around to the beat and so much more!
(A detailed agenda of animal activities will be provided at check-in.)
• Food options will be available for purchase throughout the night so that you can munch while you enjoy your brew and the Zoo! Our great gift shop will also stay open to offer tons of gifts including limited first-edition Brew at the Zoo t-shirts and pint-sized mugs.
• And let’s not forget about all of the music . . .
