Baltimore to Host 2nd Annual Beer, Bourbon, & BBQ Festival
Festival Returning for Another Year and Featuring Local Headliner, Mr. Greengenes
Towson, MD – Moorea Marketing today announced that it will host the second annual Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Maryland on April 5, 2008. Special VIP admission runs from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., followed by general admission beginning at 2:00 p.m.
Attendees will able to indulge in tasting the best beers, sipping the finest bourbons and eating the best barbeque that Maryland has to offer. Over sixty craft beers like Clipper City, Dogfish Head, Dos Equis, Flying Dog, Heavy Seas, Heineken, Magic Hat, National Bohemian, Saranac, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Stone Brewing, Wild Goose, Woodchuck Hard Ciders will be on hand for sampling. Over forty different bourbons will be available for tasting like Jack Daniels, Woodford Reserve, Wild Turkey, Buffalo Trace, Russell Reserve and more.
“Bringing this festival back to the Maryland area for a second year is very important to us,” stated Greg Nivens, president of Moorea Marketing, the show’s producer. “Last year was a fantastic success as we attracted a diverse crowd and guests enjoyed unique beers and bourbons not readily available elsewhere. We look forward to exceeding last year’s results.”
While enjoying the Beer, Bourbon & BBQ Festival, guests can enjoy the diverse sounds of local band, Mr. Greengenes, who will be performing live on the COMCAST Main Stage from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. In the Bourbon College Tasting Theater, there will be over five tasting classes to heighten people’s awareness of the flavor profile of great bourbons.
A new element added to this year will be the change to two tasting sessions. The first is a VIP tasting running from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a tasting from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Also, this year will eliminate tokens for beer and bourbon tastings. The souvenir glass included with the tickets will offer unlimited samplings.
Others can enjoy meeting “Molly-The Smartest Pig in the West” or shopping the 30-plus craft and spice vendors. Exhibits also include motorcycles, grilling equipment and an outdoor heated cigar tent for cigar aficionados.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Sister Slippers, an organization dedicated to providing new shoes to children in need.
Admission to the festival is $30.00 in advance or $35.00 on-site and includes admission into the event and a souvenir glass. VIP Admission is $40 (available in advance only). Designated driver admission is also available for $15.00 and includes admission to the event. Kids 12 and under are free.
