The Bruery Melange #1

From The Bruery – A delicate blend of our award winning Oude Tart and our infamous Black Tuesday, this is one of the most intriguing beers we’ve created to date. The tangy dark fruit flavors twist themselves with the chocolaty sweetness in a way that fools the palate into thinking you are truly drinking two great, yet widely different beers at the same time.

The Bruery – The Bruery Melange #1 – 750 ml. bottle poured into a goblet. 9.5% abv.

Appearance: Pours a dark amber brown with a very creamy tight tan head.

Aroma: Chocolate covered strawberries.

Taste: Sour berry, red wine, oaky barrel notes, a touch of dark chocolate. Finishes very sour.

Mouthfeel: Creamy, full bodied.

Overall: Skimpy on the Impy.  I am not suggesting I want a 18% sour ale, but I did want more decadence. I’ll take BT or Oude Tart over this melange.
