The Bruery Four Schizzles (Beachwood 4th Anniversary)
This week, Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach is celebrating their 5th anniversary. As outlined in our event post, Beachwood BBQ will be busting out previous years Anniversary beers to celebrate. Last year’s beer was made by The Bruery, and was called Four Schizzles. It is a blend of Oude Tart and Anniversary Ale. It made a quick appearance at the Bruery tasting room on March 12th.
The Bruery – Four Schizzles (Beachwood 4th Anniversary) – On tap at The Bruery tasting room – 9% abv.
Appearance: Pours a midnight ruby with a big, plentiful retaining beige head.
Aroma: Wine barrel, wet basement, sour cherry.
Taste: Oak, sourness, dried dark fruit, chocolate, lemon pulp, black berry. Not necessarily in that order, just picked many of these out.
Mouthfeel: Tingly, full bodied.
Overall: An amazing blend of sour and decadent beer. Hopefully this makes it into one of the Bruery’s lineups one day.
