The Bruery Chocolate Rain
From TFP: In all of the hoopla and chaos surrounding The Bruery’s Black Tuesday Imperial Stout Release, was the clamor for a very special, casked offering: Chocolate Rain. Chocolate Rain is Black Tuesday conditioned with Cocoa nibs and Vanilla Bean. Needless to say, it was worth the hype, and surprisingly even more enjoyable than Black Tuesday itself, by a smidgen. I guess a good analogy would be Fillet Mignon is great, Fillet Mignon is even better wrapped in bacon.
The Bruery – Chocolate Rain (Cask Conditioned Black Tuesday Imperial Stout with Cocoa Nibs and Vanilla Bean) 19.5% abv. Poured at The Bruery.
Appearance: Midnight brown with no sign of head.
Aroma: Chocolate fudge and vanilla like bourbon notes.
Taste: Molasses, vanilla, roasted malt and a red wine twang at the end.
Mouthfeel: Soft and chewy.
Overall: Fantastic, very close to one of my Bruery favorites, Melange #3. Incredible and not too boozy.
