The Bruery Bois
From The Bruery – This beer is brewed in the English-style Old Ale tradition using our house Belgian yeast strain and then blended using the solera method, where a portion of each of our anniversary ales is saved in our barrels and blended in with the next year’s production, providing more complexity and depth of character that comes with age.
The Bruery – The Bruery Bois – 750 ml. bottle poured into a goblet. 15.5% abv.
Appearance: Pours learher brown with tan edges. No head.
Aroma: Maple sugar, bourbon, umami, banana creme.
Taste: Woody bourbon, coconut, dark chocolate, burnt caramel covered apple. Finishes boozy.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied. Alcohol is numbing.
Overall: As were the last four years, very delicious. This was as smooth as last years batch, but there were some new elements that popped out for me that I haven’t noticed before, particularly a little saltiness/umami character.
