The Bruery 5 Golden Rings
From The Bruery – 5 Golden Rings is the 5th verse in our ’12 Days of Christmas’ winter seasonal ale series. This is the only golden ale in the bunch but it definitely packs a holiday punch. We spiced up this 11.5% ABV ode to Winter with cinnamon, allspice and ginger along with some delicious sweet and tangy pineapple.
The Bruery – The Bruery 5 Golden Rings – On tap at The Bruery Tasting Room – 11.5% abv.
Appearance: Pours a hazy bright amber gold. A top sits a thin white cap.
Aroma: Gigantic tripel like perfumy Belgian yeast.
Taste: Tripel yeast, concentrated/extra pineapple juice, bitter spicy hops, clove. Finishes with overly ripe fruit sweetness.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied modest carbonation.
Overall: I am not a fan of this beer fresh. I will say , this beer has 7 years to go for 12 Drummers Drumming and will likely dry out a bit and probably be awesome in the next year or two. The pineapple is just too sweet within a style I’m not usually seeking. For those who like a sweet strong Belgian golden, you may like it now.
