De Struise Brouwers – Black Albert – 11.25 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 13% abv. From Online Trade
Appearance: Pours a viscous dark brown with a thin creamy beige cap. Leaves a web of lace behind.
Aroma: Maple sugar, brown sugar, herbal minty notes and light roast.
Taste: Burnt roast, burnt sugar, cherry, big booze and a slight hint of wood.
Mouthfeel: Thick and modestly carbonated.
Overall: Complex, a bit too sweet for me, reminded me of Bell’s 9,000. For me, this would be suited as a super slow sipper or something paired with dessert.
