Fritz agreed to guest brew this very special ale with us in honor of our 30th anniversary. As a nod to the robust black ales that seduced both Fritz and Ken in the early years, we bring you this Pioneers Stout, a rich and roasted ale, perfect for aging, and worthy of your finest snifter. Appearance: Pours a midnight brown with a fluffy tan head.

Aroma: Dark chocolate, cocoa powder and dark fruit.

Taste: Dark chocolate cake, cherry, charred oak and burnt malt.

Mouthfeel: Silky with moderate carbonation.

Overall: A super balanced decadent Imperial Stout. It’s amazing right now, so don’t feel compelled to wait for it to mellow or what have you.
