Schlafly APA
From the Saint Louis Brewery – An American Pale Ale with a hearty dose of hop bitterness, flavor and aroma. We add hops directly into the finished beer to boost the fresh, fruity flavor and aroma of American hops.
Saint Louis Brewery – Schlafly APA (Dry Hopped American Pale Ale) – 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass.
Appearance: Pours a cloudy orange gold with a dense white, 1/2 inch head. Visable carbonation in all of its cloudiness.
Aroma: Orange peel, bread, some sweet malt, and a touch of other citrus fruit.
Taste: Bursting with bitter and citrusy hops, more bitter than sweet. Some light dry and sweet malts intertwine with the high level of hops.
Mouthfeel: Refreshing balanced thickness, slightly juicy.
Overall: I like Saint Louis Spareribs and now Saint Louis beer. This beer is full of big flavors, but doesn’t bog you down with thickness or too much malt. Smells terrific as well, due to its advertised dry hopping.

I just tried Schlafly’s APA as part of their sampler platter. Fruity is right but hardly in the overpowering way of so many fruit adjunct beers. Full of aroma and superb taste. It is dry-hopped but will make your mouth water for more. Probably their best beer right now.
