Rubicon ESB

From The Rubicon – This Extra Special Bitter was brewed using Simpson Golden Promise Malt and Styrian Goldings Hops from England. This combination created a copper colored, medium bodied brew with a malty flavor and lingering hop finish.

Rubicon Brewing -Rubicon ESB 22 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. 5.3% abv

Appearance: Pours a clear copper with a decent cap of white foam.

Aroma: Big tangerine grapefruit dry hopping and sweet malt.

Taste: Caramel popcorn with peanuts, citrus zest with a spicy hoppy finish.

Mouthfeel:Full sticky mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.

Overall: I really loved this beer, mostly due to the American dry hop twist on this often overlooked style.
