Rubicon 25th Anniversary IPA
From Rubicon Brewing – A single malt and single hop make up this special brew. We used Pale Crisp Malt and the classic Cascade Hop. Light gold pale color with a clean dry finish. Flavors of fruit and citrus with pleasant floral aromas. Served unfiltered – it is simple, yet deliciously complex.
Rubicon Brewing – Rubicon 25th Anniversary IPA – On tap at 38 Degrees Alhambra – 7.1% abv.
Appearance: Pours clear copper with a quickly dissapated white head. Leaves tons of lacing.
Aroma: Grassy citrusy hops grahm cracker-like malt.
Taste: Earthy bitterness. A touch fruity. Very dry pale malt. Lingering bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Very drying medium bodied. Average carbonation.
Overall: I could agree more with Rubicon’s assessment of simple yet deliciously complex. Very tasty, very drinkable, and it doesn’t resemble your typical West Coast IPA at all. I couldn’t tell this guy was over 7% either.
