From Triumph Brewing Company: Dubbel? Tripel? Quad? We’ll match you and raise one. A Belgian-style ale with loads of fruity, earthy flavor, this one comes in at 13.6% ABV. Soyez prudent!
Triumph Brewing Company-Le Cinq-served from draught in a pony glass, ABV 13.5%. Purchased on tap at Triumph Brewpub-113 Chesnut Street Philadelphia, PA
Appearance: A muddy gold with a creamy ½” head.
Smell: Orange and lemon zest with a whiff of caramel.
Taste: A strong taste of alcohol that yields to a honey sweet, citrusy finish. Tastes like the lovechild of a barleywine and a hefeweizen.
Mouthfeel: Velvety, full body with a sweet finish.
Drinkability: Unchuggable! The high ABV gives it a character more akin to a “hoppy wine”. A Belgian ale that stands head and shoulders above its comrades.
