Review – Tallgrass IPA
From Tallgrass Brewing – Craft Beer drinkers will appreciate the complex, flavorful brew that comes as a result of our careful selection of the finest barley, specialty malts, and heaps of North American hops. The brewers balanced this brew to give it a rich and complex hop flavor and bitterness, while keeping the beer extremely drinkable with its malty foundation. Don’t be fooled by the smoothness of this Great Plains IPA though, it still weighs in at a hefty 6.3% ABV!
Tallgrass Brewing – Tallgrass IPA – 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. 6.3% abv.
Appearance: Poured a hazy orange amber with a offwhite 1/4 inch head. After drinking this down a bit, webby lacing is left behind.
Aroma: Citrus oils and grass.
Taste: A great balance of citrusy hops, bitter hops, sweet malt and dry malt. Starts bitter ends sweet and juicy.
Mouthfeel: As mentioned above, the beer is quite juicy, kinda thing too.
Overall: A really good IPA, with great aroma and taste.
