Stone Brewing on Winter Storm 2009: One month later, Stone delivers where Santa dropped the ball. Join us at the Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens for our third annual Stone Winter Storm. All 36 taps in the Bistro will be pouring an avalanche of year ’round beers, special releases, multiple vintages, barrel agings, collaborations, brewer’s one-off creations, casks and more bottles than could fit under any tree. All of these beers will go on tap the moment we open on Sunday, January 25th and will remain on until Saturday, January 31st (or until each beer is gone).
Stone Brewing Co. – Brandy Barrel Aged Double Bastard Ale, Vintage 2006 – On tap poured into a taster glass. – 10% abv.
Appearance: Dark maroon, no head and no bubbles.
Aroma: A little vanilla, a little chocolate, and a little brandy.
Taste: Malt, hops, vanilla, wood, booze, and another layer of hops.
Mouthfeel: A tad astringent, otherwise somewhere between sticky and smooth.
