Review – Samuel Smith Taddy Porter
Samuel Smith Old Taddy Porter
5% abv.
1pt. 2.7 oz botle split with Jon, poured into a New Belgium glass.
Appearance: A dark red or dark brown. Almost no head whatsoever.
Aroma: Hints of cocoa and bread. Very faint scents.
Taste: Coffee, cocoa, and red grapes.
Mouthfeel: Thin and puckering. It finishes almost sour after a mouth full of mocha.
Overall: Good for the style, drinkable, but forgettable at the same time. I would like to hear from an English reader how this ranks amongst other English Porters.
