Odell Brewing Co. – Odell India Pale Ale – Poured From 12oz Bottle to pint glass…Alc. 7.0% by Vol.
Appearance: Pours a hazy copper orange color with an off-white head. Great lacing patterns as well…
Smell: Very earthy and hoppy. Right up front you smell huge hop notes. Fruity, Earthy, and Citrus to name a few. I smell a lingering sweetness that leans more towards the hops, although there is some slight maltiness present…
Taste– Incredible! Very hoppy indeed. Almost reminiscent of a “fresh hop” type of APA/IPA. Clean tasting, crisp, and very refreshing. Not too much of a malt presence, which for me is great! I’m a hop head through and through!! A slight bit of malty sweetness is detected at the end…
Mouthfeel– Smoooth, fair amount of carbonation to tickle the mouth while the hops work their magic…This brew is very crisp and clean….
Drinkability– Highly drinkable IPA. Tastes fantastic. HopHeads will surely love the crisp, clean smoothness of this fine IPA. This is my first brew from Odell, and I cannot wait to try everything else they have to offer..
Overall– A great IPA. An everyday drinker for sure. Not at all heavy. A perfect brew to enjoy after the daily grind! At 7% the alcohol is very well hidden amongst the fresh hop taste/smell…Do not hesitate to pick up a sixer of these if you run across it!! Very impressed with this brewery from Ft. Collins, CO.
