Appearance:
Cloudy peach colored. Big foamy off white head, about 1 1/2 inch thick. Retains 1/2 inch head all the way down.
Aroma:
Very strong aromatics! Resiny pine and spicy malts have a huge presence. Small hint of lemon as well.
Taste:
Spicy, sugary, toffee like malts. Pine like hops. Metallic bitter aftertaste.
Mouthfeel:
Thin, yet coating. Very dry and puckering.
Overall:
A wonderful English style IPA with some great west coast dry hopping. The aroma is as wonderful as the taste. I have always passed up on Drake’s, but wanted to try something new, and was pleasantly surprised.
