Review – Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA
From Dogfish Head Craft Brewery – Our 60 Minute IPA is continuously & intensely hopped. A session India Pale Ale brewed with Warrior, Amarillo & ‘Mystery Hop X.’ A powerful East Coast I.P.A. with a lot of citrusy hop character. The session beer for hardcore beer enthusiasts!
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery – 60 Minute IPA – 12 oz. bottle poured into a pint glass. 6% abv. Purchased at Whole Foods Market – Arroyo Pasadena, CA.
Appearance: Pours a yellow-ish amber with a bright white 1/4 inch head. Leaves behind white, webby lacing.
Aroma: Earthy hops and grainy, sweet malt.
Taste: A mixture of earthy, citrusy and bitter hops and a dry bready malt finish.
Mouthfeel: Thick and full bodied.
Overall: The best east coast IPA I have had to date, more bready than I remember, but I do get my “Minutes” mixed up every now and again. I feel this is too heavy to session the entire 6 pack, but with it’s moderate abv. and huge flavor, it could be done with joy.

I had one of these with dinner last night at Ruby Tuesdays. I agree that it’s the best the east coast has to offer.

Totally my favorite East Coast IPA also. Sam makes some mean brews…
