Review – Bell’s Special Double Cream Stout
From Bell’s Brewery – Sweeter and smoother than Kalamazoo Stout. A beer for special winter occasions. Great with chocolate desserts.
Bell’s Brewery – Bell’s Special Double Cream Stout – 12 oz. bottle poured into a taster glass. 6.1% abv.
Appearance: Midnight brown with a small amount of suds.
Aroma: Tootsie rolls.
Taste: Milk chocolate, roasted coffee, and small hop spice.
Mouthfeel: Rich and creamy.
Overall: I highly enjoyed this beer. I have had Expedition and I have had Kalamazoo Stout. This stout from Bell’s rivals the greatness of Expedition for sure. If you enjoy a creamy sweet stout, and like Samuel Adams Cream Stout, this will put you in heaven.
