Real Ale Sisyphus Vintage 2008
From Real Ale – Intense and warming, Sisyphus was Real Ale’s first seasonal product. A healthy portion of hops balances the rich toffee undertones of the malt. Weighing in around 11% ABV, Sisyphus Barleywine is not for the faint of heart – makes a great nightcap!
Real Ale Brewing – Real Ale Sisyphus Vintage 2008 – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 11.5% abv. From online trade. (Graphic the same for 2008, just orange instead)
Appearance: Pours an amber orange with a pin stripe of bubbles.
Aroma: Plum, candied pineapple and sugary malt.
Taste: Brown sugar that finishes with a slightly warm hoppy and boozy spice note.
Mouthfeel: Warm and sticky.
Overall: Beautiful. Now I want to see what it is like fresh. It was remarkable with 2 years on it.

Thanks for the review. I have a bottle of Sisyphus 2007 that I got in a trade. I was a little unsure, as I had seen and heard little about it. Now, I’m itching to give it a try!
