Pizza Port (Carlsbad) Coffee Monster

Pizza Port Brewing Carlsbad – Pizza Port Coffee Monster – On tap at SDBW 2010 Guild Fest – 9.3% abv.

Appearance: Pours a dark brown with a red hue. Starts with a nice rocky tan head that subsides to a half inch.

Aroma: Freshly ground coffee and roasted malts.

Taste: Coffee, vanilla, roasted malt and sugar.

Mouthfeel: Very carbonated and sticky.

Overall: Pretty solid. Didn’t seem high in alcohol at all.
