Review – Penn Oktoberfest Bier
4.5% abv

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle into a chilled pint glass.

Appearance
Rich, golden amber color with obvious signs of carbonation. Leaves noticeable lace rings on the glass as I gulp it down.

Aroma
A little buttery and sweet with just the perfect amount of spice notes.

Taste
Warm and inviting like a nice hot fire on a cold night. This American O’fest beer is one of my favorites, and could possibly be my all-time favorite in its class.

Mouthfeel
A little dry, with perfect balance of sweet and tart.

Overall
Easy to drink and mellow. Reminds me in some ways of a classic lager and in other ways of a pilsner. Either way you slice it, this is a beer that I don’t mind pounding or just having one or two in the evening after work. Keep up the great work, Penn!
