Otter Creek / Lawson’s Finest Liquids Double Dose IPA

From Otter Creek – Otter Creek and Lawson’s Finest have gone to the great lengths to deliver the highest quality beer includes water from each brewery, locally sourced specialty malt, and a dose of freshly harvested Vermont hops. Otter Creek Brewing – Otter Creek / Lawson’s Finest Liquids Double Dose IPA – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 8.5% abv.
Appearance: Pours a hazy amber orange with a beige film for head.

Aroma: A touch catty, tangerine, soaked/steeped caramel malt, the bulk item section at Whole Foods Market.

Taste: Wonderful mix of pine and grapefruit hop flavors. Toasty malt. Long clean bitter finish.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied. A little astringent with average carbonation.

Overall:  I thoroughly enjoyed this beer. The days of frowning upon IPAs and Double IPAs made on the East Coast are a thing of the past.  I really enjoy the packaging/marijuana humor as well.
