Appearance: Pours a midnight black with a large fluffy head, that subsides to about 1/8 inch of creamy beige foam.

Aroma: Big herbal hops, medium roast, sassafras.

Taste: Chocolate malt,big herbal hops. roast, big abrasive bittering hops.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with lively carbonation.

Overall: A unique roasty black ale. This came across as more like a big porter or stout as opposed to a double IPA with color.
