Night of the Living Dead – Circus Boy: The Howlin' Hefeweizen
Poured from a 12oz bottle into a plastic, freezer mug. Found at The Depot in Arnold, Md
Appearance: A slightly cloudy straw color (unfiltered and unfettered is what it says on the label).
Aroma: Bread, peanuts.
Taste: Light and refreshing on the palate with a whole-grain finish. Very refreshing. Not really sure why this is in their “fall” sampler, but it is still a very good hefe.
Mouthfeel: You can feel dryness around the outside edges of your tongue and a bit of the wheat can be felt on the back of your tongue as it slides down your throat.
Drinkability: I could finish this very quickly if I weren’t trying to gather adjectives to describe it. And at 5.4%, it’s just not that overwhelmingly intoxicating.
