New Belgium Lips of Faith Le Terroir
From New Belgium – Le Terroir is a french term meaning “of the earth”. Used to reference the environmental conditions that affect the brew, we like to think about the terroir of our foeders. These wooden barrels age our sour beer in varying temperatures, humidity, and vibrations. The terroir of New Belgium, so to speak. Add in another variable by dry-hopping with peachy, mango-like Amarillo hops, and we created a beer that changes every time we brew it.
New Belgium Brewing – New Belgium Lips of Faith Le Terroir – 22 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 7.5% abv.
Appearance: Pours a cloudy gold with a creamy white film of head.
Aroma: Danky barnyard, cat pee and sweettarts.
Taste: Tart lychee, earth, danky hop oil, lime. Finishes tart and bitter.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied, juicy, prickly lively carbonation.
Overall: Super tasty and very unique. I absolutely loved the extra dimension added by the danky dry hopping.

Tried this beer for the first time this evening at a tasting and bought 2 bottles. Awesome beer to kick off spring with. Tastes very strongly of fresh hops (tastes like a fresh bud right of the bush smells like). The tartness is very refreshing…notes of lemon and tangerine. With the powerful taste and 7.5 % ABV you get your money’s worth.
