From New Belgium – Serving up cold and jet black, this imperial stout should be taken seriously for about one minute as the dark foam builds. Then, enjoy its velvety chocolate-covered smoothness and delicious aroma of sustainably-grown, locally-roasted coffee.

Appearance:  pours near black with a frothy tan ring.

Aroma: Coffee,chocolate,sugar,medium roast.

Taste: Coffee, dark chocolate. Spicy hops. Long coffee finish.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with modest carbonation.

Overall: I will put this beer in the “Coffee Beers I Like” column. Not like KBS or Speedway, it’s own beer, and a respectable one at that.
