New Belgium Brewing – New Belgium Citradelic Tangerine IPA – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 6.0% abv.
Appearance: Pours a clear gold with a slight amber tint. Only a white film remains for head.
Aroma: Clean perfumy citrus fruit, somewhere between subtle and obnoxious. Confectioner’s sugar.
Taste: Clean dry malt, that distinguishable earthy New Belgium house yeast, citrus pith and oils, mild spicy hop finish.
Mouthfeel: Full bodied, slick, mild prickly carbonation.
Overall: A very classy, highly drinkable beer. This doesn’t drink like a West Coast IPA what-so-ever, more like New Belgium’s Ranger with an added dimension. The tangerine is apparent, but not the main attraction.
