Minneapolis Town Hall Masala Mama IPA
From Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery – An American style India Pale Ale (IPA) brewed using Amarillo, Cascade, Centennial and Mt. Hood hops. A beer with crisp hop flavor and bitterness well balanced with American malt sweetness.
Minneapolis Town Hall Brewery – Masala Mama IPA – Poured from a growler into a goblet. 6% abv.
Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy, otherwise clear amber with visible carbonation. The head is awesome, a thick beautiful cream colored cap.
Aroma: Grapefruit, pine, brown sugar, and floral perfume.
Taste: Resiny pine, big bitter hops, spicy malt, and slight citrus zest. The flavor starts out bit but levels out to nothing shortly after the sip.
Mouthfeel: Very carbonated, low to medium bodied. I’m guessing town hall is hip to growlers being hoarded or shipped out of state, and they are over compensating on the bubbles due to that fact.
Overall: A flavorful, bold IPA from Minnesota. I’d be very happy to drink that every day if I was out there. It’s a nice representation of a West Coast IPA, highly drinkable, and fairly priced. Thanks Armin!
